Terry Monroe is the president and founder of American Business Brokers & Advisors. He is the author of four books. He most recently published Hidden Wealth: The Secret to Getting Top Dollar for Your Business with ForbesBooks. Terry is a professional intermediary, consultant, and market maker for privately held companies and has been involved in the sale of more than 800 businesses. In his 35+ years of service, he has personally owned and operated more than 40 different businesses.

At American Business Brokers & Advisors, he serves as a consultant for business buyers and sellers throughout the nation. His knowledge and expertise in multi-store operations and sales has led to many multi-million dollar transactions. As an expert source in the convenience store industry, he writes a routine “Financial Insights” guest column for Convenience Store News and has been written about and featured in The Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur magazine, CNN Money, and USA Today. Over the years, his in-depth knowledge of business enterprising, franchising, financing, and acquisitions have generated over 800 successful transactions.

Jon Davito is a broker and financial analyst for American Business Brokers & Advisors Group. Jon joined the company in 2006 as Director of Information Technology to implement systems and processes to support the growing number of brokers on the team. Since then, Jon has joined the front of the house helping business owners directly in the sale of their businesses. Jon’s background in science and technology helped him develop strong analytical skills which he puts to good use when looking over income statements and balance sheets of prospects and clients.

Jon specializes in gas stations & convenience stores and has assisted clients in this space from coast to coast. Jon also has experience in hospitality, bar & restaurants, manufacturing and multiple service industries. Jon holds a real estate license in the state of Missouri and is a shrewd negotiator and deliberator.

Dan Sperry

Dan Sperry’s entrepreneurial pursuits over the last 15 years have allowed him to be involved in starting, acquiring, operating and investing in dozens of businesses and commercial property interests. These include hospitality management, hotel investment property, retail, service, real estate brokerage and commercial property development. Since 2000, his focus has been on business sales, mergers and acquisitions throughout the Midwest. Mr. Sperry has ownership interest in hospitality operations, investment properties and service companies.

Mr. Sperry has also had the opportunity to become involved in the franchise industry, both as a franchise owner of a real estate office and retail store front, as well as representing buyers and sellers of various franchise operations. He also represented numerous independently owned businesses. Mr. Sperry’s diverse background as an owner and operator of businesses helps him to relate to the same challenges his clients face when they are in the process of selling their business. Through his experience Mr. Sperry can quickly identify the challenges that arise when selling a business and work toward achieving possible solutions.
